We are taking the plunge -- AGAIN!
It will be 11 years on March 24th 2023 when cancer took Andy from this physical world and Sloan had to let her father go at the mere age of 20 months old. I wish I could put into words that moment when he took his last breath for all to understand the impact on a child -- on our sweet Sloan. At the moment of his last breath, one could hear Sloan cry from her crib. Most will never know that pain. That loss. That grief. And how it stays with you forever. But she learned to live and dream and honor him in all she does with the help of amazing family, friends, and Children's Grief Connection (now Healing Hearts Connection).
That's why this year Sloan and I with Frunge (Polar Plunge) for the 6th year along with our dear friends Melanie, Caleb, and Gabe to raise money for Healing Hearts Connection and their Family Grief Camp to provide hope and healing to other children and families grieving. We spend our summers with the Hagen's (Nafe and Soraya are the smart ones and going to cheer us on) on Lake Waconia swimming and surfing so we decided why not try it together in the middle of winter!

Healing Hearts Connection through their Hearts of Hope Grief Camp allowed both Sloan and I to breathe and continue to provide this hope that can sometimes get lost in the pain.
Your generous (tax deductible) donations help send families and children to camp with no worry of expenses and to assist in giving hope where it feels there is none. We continue to assist the organization through fundraising and I volunteering on the Board of Directors with this amazing non-profit.
Andy's memory lives on in all Sloan does in this life and all those that continue to say his name. We wish that for all children and families suffering with the death of a loved one. We would all be honored to Frunge for you.
